Biography
One of the Tour’s most charismatic and talented professionals, Miguel Angel
is a prolific winner with 14 Tour titles to his name including a fabulous
stretch of form between 2003 and 2005 which saw him win 7 times.
Twice a member of the European Ryder Cup Team, including playing
in the record victory over America at Oakland Hills in 2004, Miguel Angel
has represented Spain 9 times in the World Cup and 10 times in the Alfred
Dunhill Cup including consecutive victories in 1999 and 2000.
Passionate about cooking and enjoying Spanish food and a connoisseur
of fine wines and his favourite Havana cigars, Miguel Angel loves nothing
better than driving his beloved Ferrari near to his home in Malaga, unless
that is, he’s in contention to win another tournament.
Miguel Angel is married to Monserrat and they have two sons,
Miguel Angel (1995) and Victor (1999).
